For example, in 2023, the U.S. imported 3.7 billion pounds of beef from countries like Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, Brazil and Nicaragua. In 2023, the U.S. imported 2 million live cattle.

Unfair trade policies like these have severely and significantly undercut cattle prices paid to U.S. farmers while allowing corporations to manipulate markets and raise prices for consumers.
