Cattlemen all over America are being told to “shut up” by large scale propaganda tactics from Corporate meatpackers. Ask any independent cattle farmer and they will tell you the market is broken; however, industry leaders are telling them to “stop saying that.”
Labeled as “the enemy within our industry,” Jim Mundorf and many independent family farmers are using their voices to fight back against the false narrative that corporate consolidation of the U.S. meatpacking industry is what America needs. It’s simply not. From the outrageous mandatory checkoff fees that farmers are forced to pay and the use of those funds to support the importing of beef and false labeling of foreign beef, Americans need to ask themselves who the real “enemy within our industry” is.
